The Oak Wine Barrel Company
Welcome to our website....
The Oak Wine Barrel Company brings used oak wine barrels back to life transforming them into beautiful tableware yet retaining the unique and individual appearance as a result of the wine they once matured.

The Life of a Wine Barrel...

100 year old quarter sawn oak, specially grown in France without knots is made into wine barrels. The barrels are usually used for maturing white wine, then red wine. Each barrel has a life of around 7 to 8 years before it becomes unusable as the oak loses the 'flavour' it has to impart into the wine. Once this happens the barrel is split apart and skilfully recrafted and recycled into beautiful curved platters, serving and chopping boards and tea light staves each one stained by the wine it once held.
